New Home World may not be so far away

Post by Spooky_Zalost on Fri Jan 07, 2011 3:30 am

ok as of about 2 years ago there were several simulations run on the formation of the alpha centuri system and so far results say that there should be a planet in the habitable zone, of alpha centuri B, due to this and other recent exoplanet discoveries namely Gliese 581's system of rocky planets in it's habitable zone scientists have been doing lots of research into better telescopes because we wish to gather images of these planets in real time.

so the question becomes? is there an earth type planet around our nearest neighbour, and if so when do we plan to go there! this is an exiting question and I have started this topic to discuss this... so let me say, if there is a planet I hope that we go there soon, even if it's just a robot!
