Meditation has been used for centuries by various cultures to cure both emotional and physical ailments... it's very powerful and can cause all sorts of sensations and feelings both positive and negative.

the technique is simple enough though and I will describe it in detail here

First: get into a relaxed position and let your thoughts clear

Second: as you do this, take long deep breaths and let your self relax... let the muscles relax and the energy flow.

Third: close your eyes and let your mind wander, allow your self to feel what you are going through and work through it, then let it go, picture it floating away as it can not harm you.

Fourth: from here you should feel very relaxed and at this point you can move on to anything from Astral projections, to self hypnosis, to even a hypnogogic trance.

I have tried meditation and I highly recommend it to ANYONE! It is very relaxing, releaves stress and welll.... very very healthy for your body!
