First Steps ( Step # 7 )- Obtaining Lucidtiy
First Steps ( Step # 7 )- Obtaining Lucidtiy
This will be the final installment of the "First Steps" series which helps others
obtain lucidity in their dreams. it is very important if you have not done so too read the other first steps installments in this section so you fully understand the terms of concepts in this final segment.
Assuming that's the case than. and you have practiced the following on a
daily and frequent basis.. -
1) ... you have practiced and improved upon relaxation and meditation
techniques.
2).. You have kept a dream journal going on a nightly basis to improve
dream recall.
3).. You fully understand and have preformed " reality checks" on a daily
basis and also several times/ day..
4) .. You have kept up the dream journal and recorded enough dream
entries to be able to identify 1 or 2 "Dream Signs"
5) .. You understand the connection between dream signs and
Reality Checks ..
.. So now hopefully all you need to do is exercise a little patience.
For many practicing the above 5 things daily and nightly will be enough to at least obtain some of the more subtle levels of lucidity. For those not able to obtain any lucidity at all in their dreams and also for those wanting to obtain higher levels of lucidity than at this point it would be time to move into more advanced techniques.. Such as these thread discuss..

In closing , id like to point out 2 conditions where the chances of obtaining lucidity would be at there highest probability-
1).. After several hours of sleep, and those hours which are closest to
morning wake-up.
2).. after many hours of sleep, waking up in the middle of the night for
at least 30 minutes and than returning to sleep a second time just
before morning.
